Character Background:A Shinigami who's family was outcasts. He was nothing too anybody yet he had the will to become stronger and as he did so he himself would vow to protect the weak even if it cost him his life.
How He Came:
Human life: He was gifted with the inert ability to see ghosts at birth. He was was called crazy and was immediately the disgrace of his family. He as a human helped those in need. He became a master at several aspects of Kung-Fu. He was a normal teen otherwise that is until one day when he was attacked by a monster. This monster was odd as it had a white mask and a hole in it's chest. This encounter was only the first of many to come. Over the next year he had many encounters like it. This last one would be the last for as he was running away from one of these monsters he would be run over by a car. Thus he became a soul.
Soul life: He was at peace in the poorest part in the east rukon district. He would sleep when he felt like and train when he didn't. He was often visited by a being in black robes telling him something he couldn't hear properly. He would than after two weeks of that dream get sick of it and would decide to talk to his new family. They said that he was a special soul. He would walk away with more questions than awnsers. He would than meet a young female who said he should become a Shinigami. This would lead to him asking the her why she thought this and she said that his reiatsu was too powerful to be an ordinary soul. He would smile and ask for her name she would simply say "when the time comes you will find out." thus was the beginning of his life as a shininigami
Shinigami life: His life as a Shinigami trainee was rough he was immensely weak. He barley passed his zanjutsu class the first year for he refused to fight someone weaker than he. He was often called a coward but he didn't take it to heart he simply used it to motivate his training. His second year was better he gained some ally's but these didn't stop his dreams of that being. He graduated with honors this time around. He would be accepted in to squad three. In squad three he would find that even though he didn't have a seat they respected him. Eventually this respect coordinated into a spot as the captains lieutenant. His captain was a noble man who was very proactive in knowing what his subordinates were up to this lead to a great respect for his captain. One-day It happened that Spotlight was attacked by a horde of hollows these hollows were quickly dispatched but Spotlight was knocked unconscious from over exertion. He was carried back to squad four for healing and a debriefing to the captain of squad one. During the debriefing he was told his captain had died and he was the only candidate for the new captain. He accepted on one condition that he be allowed to leave on training for one year of training to earth.
